Carian uses the Pin Vandaag REST API to send POS payments directly to supported payment terminals and return the transaction status to the POS.
Payment status returned
The final transaction result is returned to the POS for a consistent checkout flow.
Cloud based
The connection runs through the Pin Vandaag cloud, so the POS and terminal do not need to share one local network.
From the Carian POS to the payment terminal
Carian uses the cloud-based Pin Vandaag REST API. The POS starts the payment, sends the correct amount to the terminal and receives the definitive transaction result.
- Start in the POS
- Staff start the payment from the Carian checkout without entering the amount again on the terminal.
- Customer pays
- The selected terminal guides the customer through the card or contactless payment.
- Result in Carian
- The payment status returns to the POS so the sale can be completed consistently.
Supported terminal models
Available functions may differ by terminal brand and configuration. We verify in advance whether your preferred combination is supported.
- PAX / CCV
- PAX A77, PAX A920 and PAX A35 ITS.
- Ingenico
- Ingenico DX8000 and Ingenico RX5000.
- Verifone
- Verifone V400m, Verifone P400 and Verifone Vx680 (Wi-Fi).
- Worldline
- Worldline Yomani and Worldline Yoximo.
Preparation and activation
Before activation, Pin Vandaag checks the terminal model, installed payment software, acquiring configuration and the intended Carian environment.
- Compatibility check
- Share the terminal brand, model and Terminal ID before ordering or migration.
- Controlled test
- Test successful, declined and cancelled payments before normal use.
